Lambert Sands was a well known ship captain. Two of his experiences were laying the Western Union underwater telephone line in Honduras. He safely navigated a Ship through Hurricane Betsy.I have three children, two boys and one girl; both boys have served in the Navy. One is presently serving as Senior Chief he has been in the Navy for 22 years, I also have a grandson in the Marines in Japan and a granddaughter in the Marines in Quantico Virginia. After graduating from school I started working as a sailor on a ship and worked my way up to be Chief Engineer. After moving to Miami Florida I graduated from equipment school and worked as an equipment operator for one year. I managed an ice plant for two years. Then I became an engineer for the ice company with seven ice plants under my responsibility from Marathon to Wildwood Florida.

Then I moved to manage the maintenance department of a large food distributor, one building was 125,000 square-foot with ammonia refrigeration, second building was a 350,000 square-foot dry grocery warehouse plus office and garage buildings. supervised maintenance on 200 pieces of battery operated forklift equipment. I left that to go into business for myself. I opened and operated a hardware store and a courier company. I sold that business and moved to Jacksonville Florida where I managed 2 mini storage facilities for 3 years. I wanted to move to North Carolina so I leased a campground and ran it for one year, it was destroyed by a flood, so I built my own Campground. I managed it for 10 years and sold it for a good profit. During the 10 years of owning a campground in North Carolina I served on the Lake Lure Chamber of Commerce board for two years as a director, three years as VP, and three years as president.

Served three years as VP of Rutherford Chamber of Commerce. Served four years on the Rutherford County tourist board, served three years on Blue Ridge Mountain Host tourist board as the Treasurer. Served two years on North Carolina Paddle Sports Association as a Director.

Served four years on North Carolina Campground Owners Association as a director. Served two years as Counsel of Delegates to the National Campground Owner Association Representative North Carolina.

When in North Carolina I served three years as a volunteer firefighter certified on defibrillator first aid pack. From that time I went to New Orleans to complete construction and open a campground in New Orleans and I was there for one year. Then I traveled the US managing Campgrounds in California, Tennessee, Virginia, Missouri, Texas. The campground in Texas was a large Yogi Bear Campground with a Water park we increased the revenue by $1 million.

I decided in 2014 that it was time to move back to Florida so my wife and I could be close to family. We managed a 800+ unit Mini storage facility in Orlando. I purchased my first unit in Clarcona Resort in 2013 where I now own six units in the resort.
